The TH-225 RCCB is a critical safety device designed to monitor the balance of current flowing through live and neutral conductors. When an earth leakage fault is detected—indicating current flowing through an unintended path such as through a person or damaged insulation—the device trips instantly to disconnect the circuit, preventing potentially fatal electric shocks.

This 1P+N configuration is ideal for single-phase applications where both phase and neutral disconnection is required. The 25A rated current capacity makes it suitable for protecting individual circuits or groups of outlets in residential and commercial installations.

Built with robust electromechanical trip technology, the TH-225 operates independently of supply voltage, ensuring protection even during voltage fluctuations or power quality issues. The device features a test button for regular functional verification, allowing users to confirm proper operation as part of routine maintenance procedures.

With its compact 35mm width and standard DIN rail mounting, the TH-225 integrates seamlessly into modern distribution boards alongside other protective devices, optimizing space utilization while maintaining comprehensive circuit protection.

Operating Principle: The TH-225 utilizes a differential current transformer to continuously monitor the current balance between phase and neutral conductors. When the residual current exceeds the 30mA threshold, indicating leakage to earth, the electromechanical trip mechanism activates to open both poles simultaneously.

Tripping Characteristics: The device features instantaneous tripping with no intentional time delay. At rated sensitivity (1 × IΔn = 30mA), the maximum tripping time is 0.2 seconds. At five times rated sensitivity (5 × IΔn = 150mA), tripping occurs within 0.04 seconds, providing rapid protection against dangerous fault conditions.

Type AC Classification: This RCCB is classified as Type AC, designed to detect alternating sinusoidal residual currents. It is suitable for protecting circuits with resistive and inductive loads commonly found in residential and commercial environments.

Breaking Capacity: With a 10kA breaking capacity at 240V AC, the TH-225 can safely interrupt fault currents up to 6,000 amperes, providing adequate protection for typical low-voltage distribution applications.

Environmental Performance: The device is rated for operation across an extended temperature range of -35°C to +70°C, making it suitable for installations in various environmental conditions. The IP20 protection rating ensures safe operation in dry indoor locations.

Durability: Engineered for long service life, the TH-225 offers mechanical endurance of 10,000 operations and electrical endurance of 4,000 cycles under load conditions, ensuring reliable performance throughout its operational lifetime.
